Services

The sourcing of our own stock entails extensive travelling to auctions, antique shops and private homes so we are happy to find and purchase items on your behalf.

This might be a specific piece of furniture, the ongoing furnishing of a home, enhancing a boardroom, or adding to the collections of a museum.

This is a fully consultative and interactive process and as well as advising and purchasing on your behalf we can arrange uplift and delivery, restoration and re-upholstery where appropriate.

We can also arrange for the sale of items in a discrete and effective manner.

We undertake research and cataloguing for auction houses, private and public collections, and individuals. This can range from a single object to a whole collection.

We can provide risk advice relating to security, fire, perils and liability as well as reinstatement valuations for buildings.

In addition, we are happy to advise on insurance valuations for antiques in general but should you want formal valuations we work in conjunction with specialist independent valuers Doerr Dallas.

A lifetime of looking at houses and historic buildings means that, among other things, Sebastian may be able to help with:

• house hunting
• restoration
• decoration
• location finding
• tours
• lecturing

We are privileged to hold a complete set of samples of Inchyra’s beautiful linen and wool fabrics. Caroline Inchyra has created a range of timeless fabrics that take their inspiration from vintage finds and the textures of Scotland. Based in the foothills of the Scottish Highlands and working only with pure natural fabrics the colour palette is subtle and the finish of these linens is stunning. Against a background of rustic natural shades the Inchyra fabric collection is as much about the feel as the look; we are the only location in Scotland where you can experience this (viewing by appointment).
